Frank Edwin Wright III, maintenant connu sous le nom de Tre Cool, est né le 9 décembre 1972 . Il a habité à Willits, en Californie avec son papa et 2 frères et soeurs. Son papa a construit des maisons dans le secteur. À l'âge 12 ans, Tre a joint le groupe "The Lookouts" à Livermore . Aussi, quand John Kriftmeyer a décidé de laisser Green Day, Livermore a suggéré Tre de devenir leur nouveau batteur. Billie Joe et Mike ont saisi à l'occasion d'avoir Tre dans le groupe. Tre s'est marié avec Lisea Lyon en mars 1995, et bientôt a eu une fille appelée Ramona. Lui et Lisea sont divorcés maintenant, mais Tre s'est remarié en mai 2000, à une fille appelée Claudia. Claudia et lui ont un fils appelé Frankito. Tre est maintenant célibataire et habite en Californie
